History
The Woodstock Career Firefighters, International Association of Firefighters Local 4813, was organized in 2010 with a mission to provide professional firefighting and EMS services to the community of Woodstock, IL and surrounding areas.
The mission statement of Local 4813, “Ensuring safe, outstanding and professional service to the community and its guests,” focuses on several key mission priorities.
- Promote ongoing education and professional development among our members.
- Advocate for the tools and resources necessary for our members to serve the community.
- Foster safe and rewarding working conditions that benefits our members and the community they protect.
Leadership
Local 4813 is led by a four-person elected, executive board, tasked with representing the local in all matters related to working conditions, wages and benefits, and political action. The executive board consists of a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer.
Additionally, three stewards assist the executive board in political action, membership communications, and public relations.
